Lauren Holmes, Housing Finance Deputy Administrator, has 16 years of housing experience with the Louisiana Housing Corporation. She has worked with and led the Project Based Section 8 Team since its inception in 2003 and has led the Energy Assistance Team since November 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the Louisiana State University (LSU) with a Minor in Business Administration and has also completed the LSU Executive Development Program in November 2014.
Mrs. Holmes has served in a range of roles through her tenure at LHC including a Voucher Specialist, Contract Specialist, Supervisor, and Program Manager. She holds a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) Certification and Blended Occupancy Specialist (BOS) Certification through the National Center for Housing Management (NCHM), as well as completion of Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) physical inspection training.
Mrs. Holmes is responsible for the management and coordination of staff in meeting program goals, improving program effectiveness and efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with federal statutes and regulations. She is the primary point of contact for several of LHC’s federal partners including HUD, DOE, and DHHS. Her experience and knowledge regarding contract renewal procedures and HUD regulations is respected by Section 8 stakeholders at all levels. Mrs. Holmes’ true passions are process improvement, training others, and improving the lives of the citizens of Louisiana.
In her spare time, she serves as the Advancement Coordinator for Boy Scout Troop 131 in Geismar, LA and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
