Terrell L. Dupard is a Staff Attorney with the LHC. Terrell currently serves as the Corporation’s Fair Housing Coordinator and has been responsible for the education of consumers and affordable housing providers about fair housing policy. He has conducted presentations concerning the connection between the history of civil rights and fair housing rights and responsibilities.
Terrell initially joined the LHC in August 2014 as a student intern in the legal department, and prior to assuming his current role as Staff Attorney, Terrell worked as an Administrative Program Specialist in the Environmental and Labor Compliance Department. Terrell’s professional experience also includes his work as a paralegal for the Louisiana Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, as a law clerk in the 19th Judicial District Court, and as law clerk with the law firm, Walters, Papillion, Thomas, Cullens, LLC.
In addition to Staff Attorney, Terrell also serves as Hearing Officer where he presides over tenant appeals of public housing authority decisions that affect their housing program participation. Terrell received his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in January 2015 and was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Louisiana in 2016.
